This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the OJJDP FY 2026 Community and Schools Youth Drug Prevention Program. This opportunity supports states, units of local government, federally recognized Native American Tribal governments and nonprofit organizations to deliver substance use prevention programs for youth in schools and extracurricular settings in coordination with law enforcement and community coalitions. This includes building community-based capacity and implementing a continuum of prevention strategies that address youth substance use, such as education, early intervention, mentoring, referral to treatment, and investigations in coordination with local law enforcement and community coalitions.
The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), will provide financial assistance to an eligible 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization to establish, operate, and administer the Region 4 Small Business Transportation Technical Assistance Center (SBTTAC) . The SBTTAC will provide technical assistance, business development support, and access-to-capital resources to help small businesses compete for transportation-related contracts. The recipient will also conduct outreach, connect businesses with transportation agencies, financial institutions, prime contractors, and other resources, and report required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to OSDBU. This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the FY26 Students, Teachers, and Officers Prevention (STOP) School Violence Program. This opportunity supports programs to prevent and reduce school violence by implementing training, developing school threat assessment teams and/or intervention teams to identify violence risks, introducing technologies like anonymous reporting tools, or applying other school safety strategies that assist in preventing violence. The Student, Teachers, and Officers Preventing School Violence Act of 2018 (STOP School Violence Act) describes the following allowable uses of funding for school safety projects: • Training to prevent student violence against others and self, including training for local law enforcement officers, school personnel, and students. • The development and operation of technology solutions such as anonymous reporting systems for threats of school violence, including mobile telephone applications, hotlines, and internet websites. • The development and deployment of: o School threat assessment and intervention teams that include coordination with law enforcement agencies and school personnel or o Specialized training for school officials in responding to mental health crises. BJA’s STOP School Violence Program improves school safety and security by providing students and teachers with the tools they need to recognize, respond quickly to, and help prevent acts of violence. Activities that go beyond the allowable uses of funding as described above will not be funded.

The NIH Helping to End Addiction Long-term ® (HEAL) Initiative is releasing this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to support a phased mechanistic clinical research program focusing on understudied biological mechanisms that drive joint pain. The phased projects supported by this program (of up to five years total in duration) will first identify and validate multi-tissue mechanisms underlying joint pain, then test non-pharmacologic or multimodal interventions that directly target these mechanisms. The initiative responds to priorities identified in the 2023 HEAL Whole Joint Pain Workshop and supports the broader goals of the NIH HEAL Initiative and the Make America Healthy Again vision by advancing safe, non-addictive, and prevention-oriented approaches to chronic pain.

This opportunity will support states, units of local government, federally recognized Native American Tribal governments, and community-based organizations to provide (1) comprehensive reentry services for moderate- to high-risk youth before, during, and after release from confinement, and (2) support transitional services to assist youth to successfully reenter the community. This program supports collaborations between state agencies, local government, Tribes, and community- and faith-based organizations to address the challenges that reentry and recidivism reduction pose for moderate to high-risk juvenile offenders returning to their communities from juvenile residential or correctional facilities.

This opportunity will support a national training and technical assistance program for child abuse professionals to enhance coordinated, multidisciplinary investigations and responses to child abuse and increase the quality of intervention and treatment services available to child abuse victims. Multidisciplinary teams may include, but are not limited to, law enforcement, prosecutors, service providers, Child Protective Services (CPS) investigators, social workers, and adult and juvenile probation officers. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing training and technical assistance covering a wide range of topics including, but not limited to, improved child interview techniques, thorough investigative methods, interagency coordination, and effective court preparation and presentation.

The purpose of component A (8-11 awardees) of this NOFO is to collect high-quality longitudinal data on children and adults with spina bifida (SB) who receive care in specialized spina bifida clinics participating in the National Spina Bifida Patient Registry (NSBPR). The purpose of component B (6-8 awardees) is to implement and evaluate the Urologic Management to Preserve Initial Renal Function Protocol for Young Children with Spina Bifida (UMPIRE) iterative protocol which aims to improve the management of the urinary and kidney systems in infants and young children with myelomeningocele. Building on existing longitudinal data collection, recipients will continue to collect data on patients with SB to better understand health outcomes after interventions and treatments, analyze the data and share findings to identify opportunities for improvement of care. An additional objective for Component B is to finalize the UMPIRE protocol for children 0-10 years old with myelomeningocele.
